Project Summary:

The design of the Restorative Justice Community Center will be such that the space can host a collaborative effort between the North Lawndale community, the North Lawndale Restorative Justice Hub, the Circuit Court of Cook County, the Chicago Police Department, and the Chicago Mayor’s Office.

The vision for the site is to implement a community-led model of restorative justice in partnership with system stakeholders that heals harm in the community caused by crime while alleviating the social factors that contributed to youth’s involvement in crime in the first place.

The grant funds will allow LCLC and the Illinois Facilities Fund to complete a Facility Feasibility Analysis for the Restorative Justice Community Center.
