Presenter

Shawn Wills

Shawn Wills, a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), currently serves as Vice President, Operations and Strategy for the Women’s Business Council – Southwest in Irving, Texas. In this position, Wills is responsible for driving the overall strategy for the organization, including all marketing and communications as well as major fundraising and outreach initiatives.

Wills previously served as Senior Vice President for Development at Texas Women’s Foundation, Dallas, which is the largest regional women’s fund in the nation. Some of her major accomplishments at the Foundation included managing and spearheading the fundraising efforts for a successful $50 million capital campaign, launching two African American Giving Circles, and creating a $100,000 donor circle.

Prior to Texas Women’s Foundation, Wills served six years as the Chief Development Officer for CitySquare, Dallas, where she helped grow their annual revenue from $9.8M to $20.02M. Wills also served in leadership and management roles with Rainbow Days, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, North Texas Public Broadcasting, and the San Antonio Spurs.

A native of St. Louis, Mo., Wills received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri, Columbia, Mo. She is board-chair elect for the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Dallas Chapter and an adjunct professor at Paul Quinn College, Dallas.
