We believe the gifts God gives are intended to be invested, that we take action to use them for the good of all humanity. We are all called by Christ to serve each other with everything we have – to take smart risks, to innovate, and to multiply.
The vision of We Raise Foundation is people free from poverty, violence, and inequality and this is achieved through our three priority granting areas: education, workforce development, and criminal justice. We do this work because, simply put, we love people.
We employ a unique approach to nonprofit investing by coupling program funding with a variety of robust value-added services that empower our grantees to grow their solutions to tackle social problems on the scale at which they exist. As a result of these value-added services, every $1 that donors invest through We Raise multiplies into more than double the benefit to the organizations we support. This multiplying component of our work makes the impact of a We Raise grant even greater – and makes your gifts to us go even further in service to others.
Together, we do so much more than simply give money away; we invest. The human need and suffering in our communities demand strategic, sustainable, collaborative solutions that bring hope and lasting, positive change.
The organizations we partner with do the work of reducing the impact that poverty, violence, and inequality has in their communities and we provide the tools for them to be effective. The clarity with that understanding leads us to the parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-30. In it, we are told that gifts – financial and otherwise – are intended to be multiplied. This is the driving force behind We Raise Foundation.
