Kingdom Prep 2026 Update - We Raise Foundation

Your Impact: Transforming Homes and Preparing Future Leaders

The recent completion of a home renovation project at Kingdom Prep Lutheran High School offers an exciting glimpse of what’s possible through Nehemiah 2.0.

Thanks to a $300,000 grant awarded by We Raise Foundation in partnership with Siebert Lutheran Foundation, students are gaining hands-on experience in the skilled trades, real estate, and community revitalization while discovering their God-given purpose and potential.

Nehemiah 2.0 is an innovative workforce development program that combines faith-based education with practical learning. Building on the school’s biblical approach to leadership development, the program equips juniors and seniors with the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to pursue meaningful careers while making a positive impact in their own neighborhoods.

At the heart of the program is real-world application. Students participate in the purchase, renovation, and sale or rental of homes in need of rehabilitation. Along the way, they gain experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and other trades while learning about real estate, finance, and property management.

The recently completed renovation showcased by Kingdom Prep is more than an impressive before-and-after transformation. It represents valuable skills learned, confidence built, and new opportunities created. Students are applying classroom concepts in tangible ways while developing essential qualities such as teamwork, communication, responsibility, and perseverance.

For many students, the program also provides something equally important: a vision for their future. Through mentorship from industry professionals and Christ-centered guidance from program leaders, young men are exposed to career pathways they may never have considered and are challenged to see themselves as leaders, providers, and contributors to their communities.

By May 2028, Kingdom Prep hopes to engage more than 100 students in renovating and selling or renting at least three Milwaukee homes. Each project will not only strengthen neighborhoods but also help prepare the next generation for meaningful careers and stable futures.

Thank you for making opportunities like Nehemiah 2.0 possible. Your generosity is helping young men gain practical skills, grow in confidence and faith, and discover how they can make a lasting difference in the world around them.
