Transforming Your Board into a Fundraising Force - We Raise Foundation

Transforming Your Board into a Fundraising Force

 In

Mobilizing our board of directors to maximize revenue generation is a major goal for staff and board leadership. We realize that not everyone on our boards will ask for money, yet we know that fundraising is based on relationships and that all board members should feel encouraged and empowered to forge and nurture those connections. In this webinar, presenter Kay Sprinkel Grace, originator of the “AAA” model (Ambassador, Advocate, Asker) for board engagement, will explore ways to construct a motivational environment for board members so they will feel confident about taking on new roles. She will offer new ideas about why board members are critical to your fundraising program and how to engage them more deeply – focusing on the role of mission, vision, values, and strategic recruitment in transforming your board into a fundraising force. She will also introduce us to the importance of the “PQ” (Passion Quotient) in board engagement.

What you will learn in this webinar:

  • How to create opportunities for board member engagement in resource development that taps into their “confidence zone.”
  • The role program staff can play in helping your board members increase their “PQ” (Passion Quotient) and become more motivated.
  • Ways to convince board members that fundraising is about relationships, not about money, and why they are instrumental in relationship building.
  • The values basis of all philanthropy and how that affects our interaction with board members.
  • Ways to use a board opportunity template/survey to increase board member participation in donor and fund development.
