A Legacy of Service and Generosity

Anna Eissfeldt’s partnership and generous support of We Raise Foundation (then Wheat Ridge Ministries), along with her late husband, Dick, dates back nearly 50 years. “My husband and I were both Wheat Ridge grant recipients for church-related projects,” Anna says.

Dick received a grant scholarship to attend graduate school and went on to a prominent career leading Lutheran social service agencies. Years later, the Eissfeldts both became much more involved with We Raise – Dick as an area representative and Anna through “God’s Care in Times of Crisis,” a program she co-authored (and supported by We Raise) that helped Christian schools and churches prepare for crises.

Last year, Anna and her daughter, Jodi, attended a We Raise Gratitude Dinner in St. Louis and enjoyed learning more about our new vision while meeting local grantee partners including Keyway Center for Diversion & Reentry and Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

“I continue to support We Raise now because they partner with evidence-based projects that meet both community and church needs,” Anna said. “It was really great to meet the leadership of some of those projects last year in St. Louis.”

We are so thankful for the generosity of the Eissfeldts all those years ago and for Anna’s continued partnership today.

We work hand in hand with Christian nonprofits to end poverty, violence and inequality in our communities. Take action today and raise up those in need.
